Sneak Peek: Capella Bangkok

Writer Tama Lung | March 10, 2020

Joining an already strong line-up of luxury hotels along the Chao Phraya River, Capella Bangkok is sure to attract discerning travellers with its blend of convenience and style. The sleek yet welcoming design takes its cue from ‘a traveller’s pied à terre: somewhere familiar, sophisticated and constructed around relaxation and exploration’.

The scenic and bustling Chao Phraya River is the obvious draw here, and each of the 101 rooms, suites and villas offers panoramic river views with either a private balcony or verandah with a jacuzzi plunge pool. Dining options include Phra Nakhon, a Thai specialty restaurant on the river’s edge; Côte by Mauro Colagreco, serving contemporary French and Italian cuisine; and a tea lounge overlooking a lily pond that serves an indulgent afternoon tea.

Capella’s signature Auriga Wellness sanctuary, meanwhile, boasts seven treatment suites, water therapy facilities and a fitness centre. Guests can enjoy personally tailored treatments using traditional Thai healing therapies combined with cutting-edge contemporary practices, most incorporating freshly prepared Thai ingredients such as mung bean and black sesame.
