Event Update: The Healing Summit Postpones to October

Originally scheduled to take place in May, this year’s Healing Summit has been postponed to October 2020. The venue remains unchanged, at Portugal’s Pine Cliffs Resort Algarve.

“For nearly 10 months we have worked tirelessly to do everything possible to ensure a safe and healing environment for the Healing Summit 2020. However, in light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, and to ensure the safety of all participants, we have decided to postpone to October 19-20,” organisers said in a statement sent out on March 25.

“Imagine how joyful it will be to connect with each other in person after this unprecedented human experience with a new world emerging. But for now, and where we are today, it’s important to acknowledge the fear and uncertainty that all of us have to deal with.”

The Healing Summit is organised by Healing Hotels of the World, which selects and promotes hotels and resorts that are committed to healing. The event is an opportunity for like-minded individuals and businesses to meet, discuss and gain insights from industry experts.

This year’s speakers include Marina Efraimoglou, CEO and founder of the innovative Euphoria Retreat in Greece; Belgin Aksoy, founder and initiator of Global Wellness Day; Carina Preuss, owner and general manager of Ayurveda Parkschloesschen; Ronald J. Garan, former NASA astronaut and social entrepreneur; and many more.

In addition to discussions and workshops, the agenda includes sunrise beach activities, yoga and meditation, and a banquet under the stars.

“Let’s meet and discuss,” say the organisers. “Let’s brainstorm and act. Let’s comfort and inspire each other. And we will ask, how can we use this momentum of a worldwide dramatic change that was forced upon us to create a more just world that is healthy for everybody?”
