This Saturday, June 13, is Global Wellness Day. First celebrated in 2012, Global Wellness Day was established in Turkey as the “first” day dedicated to living well. Fast-forward nine years and the event is now celebrated in more than 150 countries at 8,000 different locations.
The celebrations are looking a little different this year, as the not-for-profit organisation is launching a 24-hour livestream of wellness activities, inspirational talks and panels for viewers across the globe. At the same time, wellness and hotel brands are also going above and beyond to celebrate this day with their own curated wellness offerings.
In the midst of the pandemic, incorporating self-care in our daily routines has become more relevant than ever. Get inspired by these events that you can attend, virtually or in-person, in Hong Kong to unlock the secrets to a healthy, fulfilling life.
Save the date for Global Wellness Day’s 24-hour Livestream of Wellness, where 64 influential speakers and expert trainers from around the world will highlight the importance of wellness. “Although Global Wellness Day lasts for 24 hours, our message is intended to last a lifetime,” says Belgin Aksoy, founder of Global Wellness Day.
Starting in New Zealand and ending in Hawaii, the never-before-done virtual broadcast will cover a range of wellness topics from nutrition, astrology, skincare to mental wellness and energy healing. Content will be streamed through the event’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
