The Scarlet, Singapore

With legendary five-star hotels and new mega resort complexes dotting its landscape, Singapore is loaded with luxurious travel retreats. But here’s a new way to enjoy the island – The Scarlet is the city’s first upscale boutique hotel and has been recently revamped to inspire a decadent and opulent lodging experience.

The four-storey 1942 Art Deco building on Erskine Road puts the hotel at the centre of Singapore’s Chinatown. The lavish hotel features a bold palette – as its name suggests lush crimson shades dominate the interiors, with each of the 80 rooms of the hotel uniquely furnished to exude distinctive personalities. Large four-poster beds and theatre-style drapes add to the dramatic appeal of the space. From bespoke furniture to visually stimulating designs, the rooms and suites evoke a sense of indulgent and sensual elegance that is at once stylish and provocative.

The hotel owns two dining hotspots, Breeze and Our Korner, serving tasty bites and trendy cocktails. The hotel’s open-air Jacuzzi, dubbed ‘Soda’, is a great spot for enjoying the beautiful Singaporean weather.
