Non-guests can also contribute by sponsoring a frame and monitoring its progress online.

Wild Race

A fun yet educational initiative, The Big Jumeirah Sea Turtle Race commenced as seven endangered sea turtles were released back into the wild from the beach at Madinat Jumeirah, providing the public with valuable information on the plight of the sea turtle. Each of the seven animals, including two loggerheads and five hawksbills, was rescued by members of the public and nursed back to health by the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project team. Sponsored by seven properties from the Jumeirah Group, the sea turtles were fitted with satellite transmitters and tracked to collect vital information that is crucial for conservation plans. The turtle that has travelled the greatest distance will be announced as the winner when the race concludes in mid-March.
